CALIFORNIA - The
Museum of Contemporary Art's first major U.S. museum survey of graffiti and street art traces the genre from the 1970s to the present, concentrating on key cities where a unique visual language or attitude has evolved. It runs through August 17 in Los Angeles. Art in the Streets will feature paintings, mice media sculptures, and interactive installations by 30 of the most dynamic artists to emerge from the street art scene, including Shepard Fairey (Los Angeles), Os Gemeos (Sao Paulo), Risk (Los Angeles), and Swoon (New York).
