Indianapolis Poet Norbert Krapf Releases Catholic Boy Blues

THE ALPHA OMEGA ARTS
INDIANA---On April 24 at 7 p.m., A&O Prize honoree Norbert Krapf will give a reading and signing at the Indiana Interchurch Center from "Catholic Boy Blues: A Poet’s Journal of Healing" (Greystone Publishing), his twenty-sixth book and eleventh full-length poetry collection. The 130 poems are spoken in four voices, the boy, the man he became, Mr. Blues, an elderly mentor figure who is an agent of healing, and the priest. The book traces the arc from the childhood sexual abuse that took place in the 1950s to a vision of healing at the end. Faith leaders will conduct an interfaith prayer for healing, and Prevent Childhood Abuse Indiana and other agencies will sponsor information booths about early identification and prevention of child abuse. A discussion will follow the reading, and the author will sign books available for purchase. For more information on the book, see http://www.krapfpoetry.com/cbb.html.
