HOLLYWOOD---Much like its theme-park namesake, “Tomorrowland,” which opens May 22, is a vision of the future brimming with the optimism and aesthetics of the past. The film’s optimistic look and feel stand in stark contrast to many movies about the future, which have, over the years, tended toward the dystopic. “Tomorrowland” represents the first time a Disney film has been based on an entire themed land rather than a single attraction (like “Pirates of the Caribbean”).
