There are a lot of famous people — pop stars, movie stars, artists, athletes — who use their celebrity to bring attention to issues that concern them. “Brand: A Second Coming,” Ondi Timoner’s exhausting new documentary, does the opposite. It uses a handful of urgent global problems — climate change, poverty, corporate power, political corruption — to call attention to Russell Brand. [link]
