Vatican Library Reopens | Italy
The Vatican's Library, which holds some 75,000 manuscripts and over 1.1 million printed books, including some 8,500 incunabula is reopening to scholars following a three-year renovation to improve its security.The library houses one of the world's best collections of illuminated manuscripts including the oldest known complete Bible, dating from about 325 and believed to have been one of the 50 bible commissioned by Emperor Constantine, the first Christian Roman leader.
