NEW ZEALAND -- An exhibition mirroring religious rites of the Catholic Church will soon be on display at Rotorua Museum. The exhibition, by New Zealand artist John Badcock, is called Stations of the Cross and features 14 paintings mirroring the number of stations in the religious rite of the Catholic Church. "The Stations of the Cross is a series of paintings portraying significant events in my personal life, to the moment of my father's death," he said.  The exhibition was originally destined for display at the Anglican Cathedral in Christchurch's Square. However, two days before it was meant to be installed the Cathedral was severely damaged by the February 2011 earthquake. The exhibition will run from June 2 to July 22 at Rotorua Museum. [link]
