INDIA---Buddhism held sway over large parts of coastal Odisha in ancient times and the region forms an important part of Buddhist history. The excavation of numerous Buddha images is not only historically significant but also revels the artistic excellence and iconography know-how during the Buddhist era. Magnificent remain of Buddhist edifices and images of the Vajrayana pantheon have been unearthed at Ratnagiri. The Buddhist art in the region attained a high degree of excellence under the patronage of the Bouma-Kararulers, most of whom were devout Buddhists. But the Buddhist historical places are being neglected by the Archeological Survey of India and the locals. [link]

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
