MALAYSIA---Themed Islamic Impressions in Malaysian Contemporary Art, this art exhibition, on display until Feb 17, evokes a sense of spiritual contemplation of the oneness of God or Tauhid, the very basis of the Islamic faith. The exhibition, curated by Prof. Dr. Muliyadi Mahamood, features over 56 artworks from 26 established and emerging Malaysian Muslim artists including Syed Ahmad Jamal, Omar Basaree, Sharifah Fatimah Syed Zubir, Khatijah Sanusi and Raja Zahabuddin. “Islamic art is not merely about calligraphy as is seen by many people.
