RELIGIOUS ART | NEWS OF WEEK

ALPHA OMEGA ARTS NEWS
By TAHLIB
A runner finished the grueling 26.1 mile Big Sur marathon, through snow and rain, heat and cold; and someone asked him who had won? He responded, “I’m not trying to be corny, but everybody won.” That's why I love Marathons, and this February as thousands contentedly walk away with medals earned at marathons, no one will care who won. Unlike the nasty competition of the Super Bowl, Olympics, debates, wars and politics which focus on someone's gain and another's loss, Marathons remind us of the beauty of community, and that's why "Shaper of Beauty" (above) by Andrew Kosorok is my NEWS OF WEEK.

In other religious art news from across the USA, and around the world:
We are all members, united in the search for human meaning through art from the religious imagination. For us, it's more than Art. It's Religion. We follow artists who explore religious ideas with their creativity. When you follow religious artists, you join others who do the same. Some of us join as "Collectors" and make board decisions; others join as "Meeters" who gather for the dialogues; and most of us join as "Subscribers" to this "free" weekly newsletter; (or follow on: Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, or Soundcloud). All vote for the A&O Prize.
