NEW YORK---The "Time of Extreme Happiness" at Ouchi Gallery explores in oils and acrylic paints, the time spent drinking sake as a time when God forgives us. The artist Masashige Furuya was born and raised in Tokyo and spent a great deal of time growing up in his grandfather’s skewer grill bar, where he observed calmly without feeling admiration, many drunken scenes. Furuya’s work describes our imagination and perceptions – what we see and what is invisible to the human eye. Furuya believes that since sake is something we offer and dedicate to God, this is a time when God forgives us.  This time of bliss exists within our ordinary and mediocre lives. 170 Tillary Street, Suite 105, Brooklyn, NY; (347) 987-4606; ouchigallery.com
