The Last Supper, 1920  is set in Cookham, in one of the deeply atmospheric malt houses that had ‘staggered’ Spencer’s imagination, according to his brother, Gilbert. 
UNITED KINGDOM---Since April 2015, the Stanley Spencer Gallery has displayed an impressive  combination of fine Spencer paintings, including the full permanent Spencer collections of Aberdeen City Art Gallery and Leeds City Art Gallery. ‘The Creative Genius of Stanley Spencer’ includes both collections in their entirety, and come together with hauntingly profound works from the Gallery’s own collection and others loaned from private collectors.
