Under new policy, churches can still ban gays from Scouts

The times they are a changin’, and so are the Boy Scouts of America. This month, the organization lifted a 100-year-old ban barring homosexuals from becoming scoutmasters and counselors. The decision comes two years after BSA announced it would not prohibit homosexual youth from joining the organization. But the recent ruling still allows troop sponsors to decide whether they want to exclude homosexual leaders based on religious beliefs. [link]
