Indianapolis police chaplain gets probation for soliciting prostitute

INDIANA---A volunteer IMPD chaplain was sentenced to probation and community service Wednesday for soliciting a prostitute. John Fiers, 53, was arrested in July on charges of intimidation and soliciting a prostitute based on information from a woman also under investigation for prostitution. The woman told police she had sex with a man named Bob who showed her his IMPD badge and told her he was a police chaplain. Fiers is listed as one of the founding fathers of the Worldwide Fellowship of Independent Christian Churches. [link]
