MISSOURI---It's a very Catholic thing to connect the color red with the passion of Christ, and the connection will be that much more powerful when viewing Jordan Eagles constructions at the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art, a former Catholic chapel at Saint Louis University. New York artist, Eagle is not only drawn to the color red but is a master manipulator of blood (animal blood) to deliver fully on the fully red experience he seeks with large scale works including a massive nine-panel, 32-foot-wide installation, BAR 1-9, on display in MOCRA's central nave gallery.

Museum of Contemporary Religious Art: "Blood / Spirit" exhibit will be on view from January 20th to May 12th, 2013, Saint Louis, MO.
