INDIANA---Alpha Omega Arts presents its 3rd year of Spirit & Place Festival artist dialogues, with "Art+Faith+Risk" on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Indiana Interchurch Center. With a backdrop of 30+ religious-themed artworks works, the community will join poets, youth, clergy and artist professionals in reflections on the risks of religion. Since 2008, Alpha Omega Arts has been promoting dialogue about religious diversity through the creative imaginations of artists. Gregory Disney-Britton, chair of Board of Directors, said that "we've been working towards this moment for five years, and it's still only the tip of the iceberg of what we envision for the future." Questions? It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
