PHILLIPINES---Betrayal. Stigma. Denial. These are just three of the harsh realities people living with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) struggle with every day. These very emotions and realities are depicted in the context of the 14 Stations of the Cross in Niccolo Cosme’s collaborative exhibit, “XIV,” which opened at the Pineapple Lab in Makati last Thursday, Dec. 1, World AIDS Day. Many of the pieces were painted with HIV-positive blood “to force viewers to confront their prejudices,” according to Niccolo. [link]
