We are proud to introduce
John Gutoskey as the 2018
Artist of the Year for Contemporary Religious Art for his work entitled “PULSE Nightclub: 49 Elegies.” His work honors each of the 49 people murdered in the shooting at the PULSE nightclub in Orlando, Florida, on June 12, 2016. This Fall, it was on display at the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) during
ArtPrize, the world's largest art competition in the world, and Gutoskey won the Two-Dimensional Juried Vote Award. Over the coming weeks, we'll share more about
