I am appealing to each of you and asking that we NOT fight, argue, gossip, or disparage each other individually or as family units any further. The idea regarding Mom Britton's house was out of a desire to perserve a part of our families history and nothing more. I did not intend to sell the property or "make a come up". So please, let us all move on.


We may not be the closest family, but I truly believe that each one of us have seeds of love that have been planted as a result of our parents, aunts, uncles, and kinship. Let our hearts not be hardened.

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
