HIGH - One of Dalí's most famous images,"Christ of St. John of the Cross"(1951) portrays the crucified Christ on the cross from a striking angle, looking down from above. Dalí described the image as having come to him in a dream, in which he envisioned Christ as the atomic nucleus. Religious iconography became prevalent in Dalí's work following his conversion to Catholicism in the 1940s. (View Source)
