St. Louis-based Museum of Contemporary Religious Arts reopened on Tuesday, January 11 following the holiday break. The Museum also announced that the current exhibition James Rosen: The Artist and the Capable Observer has been extended through February 13, 2011.

The exhibition is a survey of paintings, watercolors, and drawings from the artist's six-decade career creating  poetic images that are conducive to quiet contemplation.

Established in 1991, the museum is located  at 3700 West Pine Mall Blvd (a pedestrian mall) on the campus of Saint Louis University in midtown St. Louis, Missouri.

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
