INDIANA - The St. Luke's United Methodist Church will present a talk by author and speaker Beth Booram (Picturing the Face of Jesus: Encountering Christ Through Art) on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:15 p.m., exploring devotional interactions with visual art. Following the talk, St. Luke's Chancel Choir & Orchestra will present a free concert on at 3 p.m. Entitled "The Face of Christ: a musical portrait," the program consists of a wide range of musical genres, as well as the use of visual art. A free-will offering will be received. All are welcome. The concert takes place at St. Luke's (Stained glass image is from church), 100 W. 86th St., Indianapolis. It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
