God's Plan is to Create Fine Art

CALIFORNIA- Pastor Mike Frankowiak writes: "As a pastor, I get to visit many people in their homes and over the years I've never ceased to be surprised by two things: First, the resiliency that people exhibit in facing times of trial. And second, how wonderfully blessed we all are, for God has gifted each and every one of us with talents and abilities that, when nurtured, bring joy and beauty not only to our lives but to the lives of those around us as well....Years ago on one of my journeys, I came upon a rather extraordinary individual. This man made pewter breathe, gave life to bronze. He was a sculptor, and to the untrained eyes of this observer, quite a good one....God wants to populate his house with his creations — us. And he doesn't want to lose even one of us. John, chapter 6, tells us that it's God's will that we all turn to him and live eternally at his house....He created us to use his gifts — the talents he has given to each of us — not only for our benefit, but also for the benefit of others. That is how we live out our faith. It's how God's light shines through us and how his kingdom is spread in our community. The various aspects of our characters and his plan for us are all revealed to us in his word, in his Scriptures. So no matter whether you do ... or don't ... read about the "fine arts," pick up your Bible this week with your family and read about the "finest art" of all. [link]
