Opening Reception/Cultural Event for “The Costs of War,” Grassroots Art/Poetry Exhibition

NEW JERSEY--An anti-war exhibition/forum heavily promoted to the faith community opens on March 15 with a reception on March 20th Teaneck, NJ. The human and financial costs of war since 2001 are staggering: more than 4,400 US troops and over 1 million civilians killed in Iraq; over 32,000 US troops wounded, not to mention the Afghanistan/Pakistan casualties; over $1 trillion in US dollars spent. To address this tragic situation, the Puffin Cultural Forum hosts, “The Costs of War,” a public art exhibit depicting the costs of war as seen through the eyes of area veteran and civilian artists and writers. Opening reception/event March 20, 3:00 p.m. includes conversations with artists, and performances of poetry, dance and music. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs March 15 through April 14.
