Painter Richard Corbett's work at St. David's Cathedral

PRESS RELEASE
March 19, 2011

UNITED KINGDOM - Art lovers visiting Tenby and the surrounding area may by drawn in by the painter's work, which is inspired by the woodland and riverside scenes of Pembrokeshire and Monmouthshire. A selection of Corbett's canvases and prints will be on show at the Cloisters Gallery in the cathedral from Tuesday April 12th to Monday April 25th. Entry is free and the venue will open to the public between 10:00 and 17:00 BST each day. Situated in St Mary's Hall, the gallery brings a year-round programme of arts and crafts events to the famous cathedral. All exhibited artists hail from Pembrokeshire or produce work that has been inspired by the region. For those who would like to explore the religious building itself, guided tours of the cathedral are available on request. No charge is made, but a small donation is welcomed to support the upkeep of the holy place. Work on the present structure began in 1181 and a series of restorations has been completed over the centuries. [link]
