PHILIPPINES - With the beatification of John Paul II at hand, chair he used will be considered a second-class relic once he is canonized as a saint. (First-class relics come from the body of a saint; third-class relics are those touched by a saint.) It was built by a family business established by Simplicio Adriano in Ermita, Manila, in 1911. The current caretaker, Tony Adriano, personally handles all ecclesiastical and religious art as well as the interior design of churches. [link]
