TEXAS - Dallas already has the Museum of Biblical Art and it looks as if the National Bible Museum may be built somewhere in the Dallas area as well. The Green Collection, one of the world’s largest private collections of 30,000 rare biblical texts and artifacts, will be core of the planned museum’s holdings. It’s named for the Green Family of Oklahoma City, founders and owners of Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., the world’s largest privately owned arts and crafts retailer. The Green Family have announced their intent to build a museum to house and display their collection of ancient antiquities, biblical papyri, Hebrew scrolls and Judaica, important medieval manuscripts and an assortment of rare Bibles and books.
