VIRGIN MARY FINDS CHICAGO HOME


AFTER A 12-YR SEARCH, a 34-foot-tall, 8,400-lb statue of the Virgin Mary has finally found her home, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church outside of Chicago, Illinois. The stainless-steel statue, entitled, "Our Lady of the New Millennium" was created by internationally known artist Charles Cropper Parks, and has been on tour around the Chicago area since 1999. The consecration date is set for Sunday, May 22.
