Church Panel Studying Dress Codes for Visitors

THE TIMES OF INDIAINDIA - Even as the rector of the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa-famous for housing the relics of St Francis Xavier-has decided to enforce modesty in dress among tourists visiting the holy shrine, as also to ban photography within the basilica, a committee of the church in Goa is studying whether to extend the dress code for tourists visiting all other religious shrines in Goa.[link]

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
