Shaikh Mohammad Visits Art Exhibit

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, praised Dr. Farhad Farjam for his restless following up of the art movement in the region.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday visited a rare exhibition of Islamic masterpieces by Dr. Farhad Farjam, the owner and founder of Farjam Art Collection. Dr. Farjam’s exceptional exhibition spans almost the entire history of Islam and includes some of the rarest artistic masterpieces of the Islamic world. The exhibition displays historical art pieces from across the vast region between Andalusia and Mughal India, including copies of the Quran; manuscripts; illustrated books on science, mathematics and poetry; paintings and miniatures; finely-decorated metalwork; lacquer; glasswork; tiles; glazed pottery; woodwork; textiles; coins; jewellery; and carpets.
