"No Appointment Necessary," by Stephen Sawyer 
KENTUCKY - A photo of Stephen Sawyer's painting “No Appointment Necessary” shows a man in blue jeans and a white t-shirt, flexing his right tricep and showing off the tattoo on his right arm. The man in the painting, who has a beard and long, brown hair, is strong and masculine – and his name is Jesus. Sawyer dedicates this painting, "No Appointment Necessary," to "those children of God who do not appear to 'fit in.'" [link]

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
