NEW YORK - A Master engraver with Waterford Crystal has described his commission to design and sculpt a tribute to 16 survivors of 9/11 as an honor. American ambassador to Ireland Dan Rooney was presented with Miracle On Stairwell B by sculptor Sean Egan at a memorial service in Dublin.  The specially commissioned work will be passed on to the City of New York by Ambassador Rooney and contains an actual piece of rubble from the World Trade Center. According to Egan, his piece depicts the remarkable story of the group of 16 people trapped inside a stairwell who survived the collapse of the North Tower. [link]
