NEW YORK - Catholic League protests that helped boot a controversial video from the National Portrait Gallery in Washington won’t be repeated in Brooklyn, the group’s president said Thursday. “They have been showing their so-called art all over the country,” said Bill Donohue, Catholic League president. “We can’t be like in a dog and pony show every time they show the stupid video.” That doesn’t mean the league has changed its stance against the upcoming Brooklyn Museum presentation of “A Fire in My Belly,” a short film that includes an inflammatory 10-second clip of ants skittering across a crucifix. [link]
