2011 Spirit & Place Festival Ends with 3 A&O Student Artist Awards

1st Prize: "Freedom" by Rachael Walker
INDIANA -- Helping to close out the 16th annual Spirit & Place Festival in Indianapolis, the Alpha & Omega Project for Contemporary Religious Arts announced yesterday that Freedom by Rachel Walker, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School; After…Life by Ejaaz Collins, Broad Ripple Magnet High School; and Obituary by De’Sean Isom, Broad Ripple Magnet High School are the winners of the first annual A&Omega Prize for Young Artists in central Indiana, first, second and third prizes respectively. Winners to receive $750 Scholarship Prize to attend any accredited Indiana University; Park Tudor School, Gleaners and the Latino/a Collective of Indiana were also recognized for their group installations.
