Video: "Last Address" a World AIDS Remembrance of NYC Artists
ALPHA OMEGA ARTS
By Ernest Disney-Britton
NEW YORK---For any New Yorker, or regular visitor like myself to the city this somber elegiac video of the the places where NYC artists last lived before dying of AIDS brings the ache of their passing powerfully home. The website, Lastaddress.org is a companion piece to Ira Sachs' short film Last Address, which marks the disappearance of a generation of New York artists who died of AIDS. On this World AIDS Day 2011 we at the Alpha & Omega Project for Contemporary Religious Arts invite you to join us in remembering these artists, and express a grateful special thanks to Ira Sach's for the creation of this video memorial. Watch video here: "Last Address."
