"Godspell" Opens in Indianapolis (Carmel) on Friday

INDIANA - Actors Theatre of Indiana presents the hit musical, "Godspell" based on the Gospel of Matthew, by Stephen Schwartz and John Michael Tebelak this month. Originating in Pittsburgh in 1970, "Godspell" went on to become an international sensation, with favorite songs including "Day by Day" and "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord." Michael Dotson directs a cast featuring Brandon Alstott as Jesus. Brent Marty is musical director; Carol Worcel, choreographer. It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
