NEW YORK - Last night, Kehinde Wiley's "The World Stage: Israel" opened at the Jewish Museum, located in the Upper East Side of New York City. The exhibition runs through July 29, 2012. As part of the promotion for the exhibition, a copy of "Alios Itzhak" by Wiley was hand painted on the corner of Mott and Houston. Last April, the original nine and a half feet tall painting was purchased by the Jewish Museum for its permanent collection, and it was this work that inspired the new exhibition.
