The Church of Scientology recognizes March 13, the birthday of founder L. Ron Hubbard, as a religious holiday. The religious symbol for Scientology is a cross with 8 points. The points represent the 8 Dynamics (or 8 parts) of life through which each person struggles. The 8 Dynamics are a basic principle in Scientology theology. Per the request of the founder, on this day, members of the church honor him by conducting community service.

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public.
