CANADA - Bill Goers's creations hang like air-sensitive curtains in the Little Fernwood Gallery and Inner Hall. Subtle and profound, his paintings are informed by his practice of Buddhist meditation. That said, people of all ages and backgrounds are engaged by them. The basis of much of what is on display here is just one syllable, SA, the Sanskrit seed syllable of Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Bill Goers: Paintings and Drawings 2007-2012, Little Fernwood Gallery and Inner Hall, 1923 Fernwood Rd., until April 17. For information, call 2508846938. [link]
