(VIDEO) New Islamic Art documentary to be shown at the Indianapolis Museum of Art

INDIANA - In advance of the Indianapolis Museum of Art's exhibition "Beauty & Belief: Crossing Bridges with the Arts of Islamic Culture" (November 2, 2012-January 13, 2013), members are invited to enjoy a sneak preview of a documentary about Islamic art on Friday, May 18 at 7 pm. The 90-minute film's worldwide premiere was on December 1st at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Since then, it has been hosted at regional premiers across the country including on March 10 in Chicago; March 15 in NYC at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Dallas, TX on March 31; and it will be shown in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 18 at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati. These and many other viewings are all in advance of the PBS television premiere this summer.
The documentary journeys to nine countries, and explores over 1,400 years of history, art and architecture. It is narrated by Academy Award winning performer, and well known spiritual & peace activist Susan Sarandon.
