Art & Religious leaders unite to begin conversation about sexuality

WASHINGTON - On Saturday, Associated Ministries will partner with the Tacoma Art Museum to host a community dialogue – “SEEKing Common Ground: A Dialogue About Art, Faith and Sexuality." Five South Sound religious leaders will engage one another directly in a dialogue. [link]

The point of the dialogue is not to change people’s minds, but to demonstrate that people with deeply held convictions and beliefs can share their perspectives respectfully and hold one another with dignity and grace.

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
