Movie Review: Snow White & The Huntsman (2.5 Stars)

The best thing in this latest in a series of morality tale movies is by far Charlize Theron's performance as the ravishing, and equally vicious Queen Ravenna. Theron's evil queen is mad for power and eternal beauty, but through Snow White's Christian innocence, and pagan courage you never come to hate or fear the evil queen, but only to pity her like a Judas Iscariot. There is much more beauty and surrealism in this film than action or drama, and in the end, the queen's demise almost feels like a gift to her, and perhaps to ourselves. Overall Grade: B-
