The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, India.
It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Americans will be introduced to Muslim identity and culture through its Islamic Art in a new PBS documentary airing this Friday night, July 6, 2012. “Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World,” narrated by award-winning actress Susan Sarandon is a 90-minute filmed journey that will take PBS viewers across nine countries and 1,400 years of Islamic art and architecture. “Our group was blown away during our April preview of the film at the Indianapolis Museum of Art,” Ernest O. Britton, Founder/Director of Alpha Omega Arts said. “As a Christian, I found it to be a perfect window into a world and culture that I have often misunderstood. The documentary will be a real catalyst for a new American dialogue about Islam, a faith rooted in the same Abrahamic tradition as both Christians and Jews.”
