"The Anatomy of an Angel" (2008) by Damien Hirst
Artist and art historian Arthur Hummel ‏tweets @ArtHistory2Day and we credit him for introducing us to Damien Hirst's "The Anatomy of an Angel," sculpted of carrara marble. While I don't know the details of which came first, this 2008 statue is certainly linked to the newly installed 65 foot sculpture, "Verity" recently installed on a tiny islet along the coastline of the United Kingdom. Hummel calls the work, "Angels have breasts too."
