Disney Review: "The Impossible"

ALPHA OMEGA ARTS
By Ernest O. Britton
★★★★---I didn't want to go see this. It was Greg's choice. I wanted to be somewhere else--safe, warm and dry, but now I am grateful that I experienced this spirit shattering movie. "The Impossible" begins with a catastrophe we all vividly remember – the devastating tsunami that struck a tiny resort island in Asia on the day after Christmas in 2004. The film tells the story of how a family of five survived the horror, but it also tells the story of how their young self-absorbed teenage boy becomes a tender and generous young man. Young actor Tom Holland as Lucas is my choice for Best Supporting Actor of 2012 for his moving portrayal.
