Islamic Art Exhibit Opens at the Vatican

VATICAN---The exhibition "Grains of the Holy Word," which displays a modern interpretation of Turkish Islamic art of illumination, an art of decorating manuscripts, was opened at the Vatican's reknown Cancelleria Palace. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held on Wednesday at the Vatican Palace and was sponsored by Turkish Airlines (THY). Open until June 23 at the Cancelleria Palace, the exhibition presents to Roman art-lovers the works of the prominent Turkish illumination artists Kaya Ucer, Munevver Ucer and Reyhan Isen. [link]
