Colourful Buddhist Visitors Share Life Lesson With Art

AUSTRALIA---For the third time, the Cowra Regional Art Gallery is hosting a group of Tibetan Buddhist Monks as part of the Sacred Footsteps Tour. During their current visit this week, the monks have shared their culture, promoting peace and are creating an intricate Tara mandala. In Tibetan Buddhism, Tara is the main female deity. She is the mother of all Buddhas and is revered for her great wisdom and compassion. The Dissolution Ceremony will commence at 2pm on Sunday August 4, when monks will sweep away the mandala to symbolise the impermanence of life. [link]
