The exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art triumphs on several levels --- scholarly, aesthetic, historical, even spiritual. That it is the most important exhibition of Islamic art ever held in North Texas is undeniable, and it comes at a time when U.S. relations with the Islamic world are frayed, mistrust of each fed by misunderstanding of the other.
