OHIO---For the past four years, John Kohan has been sharing his massive collection of religious art with parishioners and outsiders at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. His latest display, "In Remembrance of Me," features several modern depictions of the Last Supper. “It’s wonderful to have the opportunity to show the art,” said Kohan, a former Time magazine journalist. The display offers several unique takes on the final meal Jesus shared with his Apostles before his crucifixion. The sometimes unconventional depictions allow people to delve deeper into the subject, Kohan believes. The modern works are from all over the world, representing 18 countries. Kohan has been collecting the art for about 16 years, and has managed to amass a collection of about 2,000 works. [link]
