OREGON---The Seattle Asian Art Museum in Volunteer Park is the main repository for the city's love affair with art from the opposite side of the Pacific. A branch of the the downtown-based Seattle Art Museum, the collection is housed in the park's original 1933 Seattle Art Museum building. The museum features an extensive collection of Buddhist art, including an 11-headed and thousand-armed statue of one of the faiths deities. [link]
