instal the final pieces to Tsychiya's new sculpture “The Spirit of Christ”.
CALIFORNIA---A collaboration between President Barry Corey and the Public Arts Committee prompted the installation of four new art pieces on campus during the 2014-2015 academic year in hopes of increasing the spectrum of creativity on campus. “The Spirit of Christ”, the first of the four art pieces to be installed, was dedicated in front of the Earl and Virginia Art Gallery on Thurs. Sept. 18. The dedication has spurred students’ curiosity toward the other pieces of art soon to be released. [link]

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
